Today Special is…?

Using adjectives and adverbs to sell more daily specials

Today’s special is…
As a restaurant owner or chef, you spend a great deal of time creating the daily special. If you would like your wait staff/servers to sell more, teach them the fine art of using adjectives and adverbs.

For instance, “Today’s special is fish tacos for $11.99.”

Teach your staff to use more tempting and expressive language, such as, “Today’s special is Caribbean style fish tacos. Lightly breaded haddock filets are served on flour tortillas topped with a sweet mango salsa and contrasted with a chipotle sauce that is not too spicy but just enough to turn on your taste buds.”

Want to turn up the sales a bit more?
Customers will often ask if the sever recommends the special.
Make sure they try a taste of it before their shift begins so they can add their own opinion, a good one, of course.

If you need some assistance training your staff on selling more daily specials or seasonal promotional drinks and dishes, contact me for more ideas.

Some of the smartest people I know

Some of the smartest people I know are making extra income on the side.

It’s called a ‘side hustle’ and more than 44 million Americans have one, according CNN, just to get by or with the dream of getting off the hamster wheel.

If you have a little more month left at the end of your money, then you might think about getting your own side hustle. #sidehustle

I can help you get started. Just send me a personal message and I’ll send you some information to consider. Who knows? Maybe the right side hustle can put you on the path to success and get you off of the road to nowhere.

If I offered you a job…

If I offered you a job with a growing company that currently has offices in 8 countries, soon to be 12, and you had the ability to name your own hours, would you be interested?

wewantyou

What if I told you that you can work from home and make an unlimited salary? Take vacations whenever you want. Earn company bonuses. Attend fun company events.

I KNOW…you think it’s too good to be true.

WELL…it’s not and I help people do it all the time.

What if I told you this is actually not a job offer, but an opportunity for you to start your own home-based business and be your own boss.

College isn’t for you?

So, college isn’t for you?

Does your family give you grief because you decided not to go to college?

Did your teachers tell you that your job opportunities are better if you have a degree?

college

Does everyone say you will earn more with a degree?

Some of that may be true, and it certainly is IF you plan to spend the rest of your life working for someone else.

BUT…what they don’t tell you is that the majority of millionaires don’t work for someone else, and many don’t have a college degree, such as…

  • Henry Ford
  • JD Rockefeller
  • Richard Branson
  • Steve Jobs
  • Dave Thomas
  • Michael Dell
  • Rachael Ray
  • Bill Gates
  • Mark Zuckerberg
  • Lady Gaga
  • Harrison Ford
  • Tom Hanks
  • Tiger Woods
  • and many more

College isn’t for everyone. That’s not to say it doesn’t have value. College is terrific for those who enjoy school and want to train towards a career working for someone else.

If college isn’t right for you and you have always wanted to be your own boss, then we should talk. I help people every day start their own businesses and control their own future.

I personally know several people who made millions without a college degree and some without a high school diploma. To prove it, I can put you on the phone with them.

Stop waiting and contact me. The earlier you begin, the quicker you can become financially independent and live the life you deserve to.

The 4 year career

The 4 Year Career

Most people by age 25 have a plan for the next 40 years regarding what career they will choose. That’s called the 40-40-40 plan.

  • 40 hours a week (that’s laughable)
  • 40 years of your life (really, can you retire at 65?)
  • To retire on 40% of your income (see above)

IF…you absolutely LOVE your career, the company, and the people you work with, then 40 years in that job sounds terrific and I would never want to interrupt that.

AND…if it provides a good life for your family, vacation time, and savings for a comfortable retirement, then please keep that train rolling.

BUT…if you aren’t totally satisfied with your chosen career, or if you like it but need to make some additional income to reach your goals, contact me.

HOWEVER…if you could retire in 4 years, not 40, would you be interested in talking about options?

Starting a part-time business in my spare time was one of the best decisions I ever made. Maybe I can help you, too. It’s easier than you think.

The Early Bird

“The early bird catches the worm” so the old saying goes, but what does it really mean?

robin-with-worm

If you ask most people, they would probably tell you it means you have to get up earlier than everyone else to beat them to the worm. While that may make sense, they are really referring to another saying, “You have to get up pretty early in the morning to beat me.”

Unfortunately, the thought that you need to get up early to beat everyone else comes from a position or attitude of ‘lack’. It comes from a thought that there are a limited number of worms and the first person to get there wins. This is not a good leadership mentality because the premise is incorrect and leads to competition, not teamwork.

The truth is that there are plenty of worms to go around, BUT…they are only around for a short time during the early morning hours when the ground is cool and wet. That is why the early bird will get the worm while those who sleep late will not.

Worms are the metaphor for opportunities, and like opportunities, worms don’t just lie on the lawn all day waiting for you to be ready to pick them. Reality is that worms only come to the surface in the early morning hours and a bird needs to be up early to catch them. If they wait too late, the worms go back in the ground and the opportunity may be lost. The bird will go hungry that day and their children may also.

Opportunities come to us at various times and usually there is a short window of time for us to recognize the opportunity and take action on it. Like the worms, opportunities don’t just keep popping up until we are ready. We must be ready at all times to take advantage of the right opportunities when they present themselves. This is an attitude of abundance which leads to success. Opportunities are endless for those who are open to possibilities, not limitations and competition.

How to support your friends

Chances are you know a lot of people who have their own home business on the side. After all, there are at least 100 million people on the planet running their own small businesses as independent distributors for over 1000 different companies, and the numbers are growing.LoveYourNeighbor

The way I look at it, if I need to buy something, I would rather buy from my friends first. There is a great saying I heard a few years back, “Would you reach past your friend to shake hands with a stranger?” For some reason, there are many people who know their friends sell a type of product that they use regularly, but these people would rather go to WalMart and pick up something cheap instead. To me, that says a lot about their friendship.

When I sat down to look at what we buy from friends, I was actually a bit shocked.

This is how we support our friends:

  1. Tupperware from David
  2. Personal Protection Products from Nicole
  3. Candles from Paula
  4. Essential Oils from Abby
  5. Bags from Shana
  6. Cleaning products from Stephanie
  7. Chocolate from Lianne
  8. Fun Jewelry from Karen
  9. Seasonings from Shirley
  10. Kitchen Utensils from Melodie
  11. Antioxidants from Lynne
  12. Men’s Clothing from Graham
  13. Nutritional Shakes from Rebecca
  14. Supplements from Kellie

I may be missing someone. Apologies if I forgot to include. These are just the current friends and products who we support. There have been others over the years. And, YES, my friends support my business as well.

Growing up, I remember my mother supported a few of her friends as they started their businesses in Avon, Tupperware, and Mary Kay. Must be a family tradition.

For anyone who might be curious, I sell the world’s best line of skincare and nutrition products with minerals for the Dead Sea. This includes, hair care, body lotions, facial products, men’s products, vitamin+herbal supplements, and soon to be much more. Our company is listed in the TOP 100 of all Direct Sales companies in the world, and rising up the list fast.

It’s your choice – If you use shampoo, moisturizer, hand cream, vitamins, soap, or other common body care products, you can get them cheap from WalMart, or I can introduce you to much better quality products at a reasonable price.

Thank you to those friends who choose to support my growing business.
